CDT at LCC
Hey Hey faithful CDT fans!
We're performing at Leeward Community College this weekend and would love to see you there! In addition to a new CDT piece collaboratively choreographed by Jenny Butler Shannon and Meghen McKinley, you can get the chance to see several other performing groups including Upside Down Dance Company, Shakti Dance Movement, Giinko Marischino and others.

Groove to the beat of the art
Convergence Dance Theatre and the Dance Space Youth Company will be performing at the Honolulu Academy of Art Family Sunday, tomorrow, March 15.
When to see us:
1:15 and 1:45 p.m.: The Dance Space youth company performs to high-energy music, including a 1950s rock 'n' roll sock hop.
2:30 p.m.: Convergence Dance Theatre puts on creative performances such as "BOING," which uses giant rubber bands.

Upcoming Convergence Dance Theatre appearances

I know there have been some questions about if we will be showing our work in the coming months. I just wanted to give you a heads up on a few of the places where you can see us around:
The Dance Space – We all take classes here to keep in shape and on top of our game. Come take classes with us! It will be fun. Check out the schedule online for ongoing adult and children's classes.

CONVERGENCE DANCE THEATRE RE-EMERGES THIS FALL
Contemporary dance show Re•Vision opens November 21
As the title implies, Re•Vision explores ideas of perspective, specifically in life and love. Emotive landscapes are created through inspired, original choreography of dynamic movement. Enhanced by costume and props and over a backdrop of projected images and sound, the dances of Re•Vision speak of personal and cultural cause and effect.
CDT is a contemporary dance company of 12 dancers and choreographers, originally founded in Honolulu in 2003. Artistic Director Jennifer Butler Shannon, who is a founding member, received her MFA in dance from UH Manoa. Choreographers include Ms. Shannon, Lindsay Hermann, Meghen McKinley, and Sumoha Jani. Re•Vision features the return of veteran company members, Malia Yamamoto and Raina Racki.

Welcome to Convergence Dance Theatre!
Convergence Dance Theatre is made up of diverse voices and choreographic styles formed in 2003 as a co-operative dance ensemble to provide up and coming Honolulu choreographers and performing artists opportunities to create and perform original work. Convergence Dance Theatre’s focus on diversity and individuality gives each performance a spontaneous energy unique to the Oahu community.
